The Skin Cancer Foundation has a comprehensive list of sunscreens listed on their website www.skincancer.org. Look for products with the Seal of Recommendation. I’m proud to say that our in kind sponsor for the past two summers, Vertra, is on that list. I’ve been using it, especially for surfing. It’s non-greasy and Very Water/Sweat Resistant.

It’s going to be 88 degrees in NYC today, it will feel like summer but the H20 still feels like winter so get a good pair of booties on and get wet. O’Neill Mutant 3MM Split Toe will keep you warm.

Surfcat has been wearing O’Neill for a long time because it always fits just right. Since I live in the Northeast I am always looking out for a good wetsuit that will keep me warm in the spring (I get cold easy). Patagonia’s R3 Front-Zip is for H20 around 48-55 degrees. It’s environmentally consicious too, the suit lining is a blend of merino wool and recycled polyester. And the dual neck gaskets keep watering from flushing in. Now all we need is some surf.

Surfcat’s a big fan of Emergen-C and now they’re donating 20cents per box of Emergen-C Blue to Surfrider Foundation. A great way to support your immune system, and our oceans and beaches.
